The local Kiwanis Club recognizes an outstanding senior in each USU college every spring.

Nominations for the Kiwanis award are brought to the scholarship/awards committee meeting handled through the Academic Service Center.

Criteria

Recipients should be selected on the basis of:
 
• Graduating senior
• High academic achievement
• University and community projects 
• Leadership
• U.S. Citizen
Due to the broad criteria pertaining to this award, it is often used to recognize a student who was considered for but did not receive the top honors in the college (e.g., Scholar of the Year, Outstanding Senior).  The recipient is invited to a Kiwanis luncheon in May to receive a recognition plaque but is not recognized at the CNR awards banquet.
