The CNR Scholarship Committee selects the CNR Outstanding Senior from the list of three students selected as departmental outstanding seniors.  Departmental outstanding seniors are announced in late February and will be invited to the CNR awards banquet.  The recipient of the CNR Outstanding Senior award is kept confidential until announced at the awards banquet.

Criteria

Each department selects its outstanding senior based on: 

• Scholastic achievement

• College/university/community involvement
  

• Professional commitment to the natural resources field

This will not necessarily be the student in your department with the highest GPA, but instead the well-rounded student who has excelled academically while also participating in service and professional activities.  S/he will typically be well-known amongst CNR faculty and students.
