We have an opening for 1 technician position (possibly a 2nd opening) to conduct scat transects throughout the state of Wyoming.  The job entails hiking ten 1 km transects to clear them of coyote scats, then revisiting them 2 weeks later to count the number of scats deposited since it was cleared.  The position will require hiking 10 km (6 miles)/day, and camping out.  Sites will be throughout the state.  Vehicle and gas will be provided.
It will be 10 days in the field, then 4 days off.
Start date: 15 July 2008; end date: 15 October 2008 (3 months).
Salary: $1,800/month, plus $19/day for camping per diem while in the field (20 days/month).
