Spring 2010, Section 1 - Introduction to Natural and Cultural Resources Laws and Policy 2
This course will begin with a background on the differences between laws, regulations and policies, and the history of environmental and cultural laws and policies. It will then focus on 16 federal natural and cultural resource laws, regulations, and policies that land managers must be familiar with to effectively manage public lands. These laws and policies were chosen because they are the ones most frequently encountered by resource managers and specialists.

Fall 2009, Section 2 - Natural Resource Leadership 2
This is a 2 credit-hour graduate level course intended for students pursuing the professional Masters of Natural Resources degree. The primary objective of the course is for natural resources professionals to develop and/or expand their knowledge and ‘tool box’ of leadership techniques and practices in natural resource management through readings, discussions, and presentations. Secondary objectives include improving one’s self-awareness for working with and leading others during the process of problem solving in the context of natural resources management and conservation.
