Biography:
Mike is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Sustainable Living.  He obtained all of his degrees from the University of Connecticut: a BA in Psychology in 1994, MS and Ph.D. in Natural Resources Management and Engineering in 2001, and 2005.  Prior to arriving at USU, Mike worked in the Extension system at the University of Connecticut, providing outreach on water quality and low impact development issues.  Mike's past research was focused on alternative storm water treatment practices, and on the human dimension of natural resource issues; currently he is continuing to investigate determinants of pro-environmental behaviors.  Mike's current responsibilities at USU include teaching a course in sustainable living (ENVS 5570), and oversight of a green building demonstration home called the Utah House, which is located in Kaysville.
