The Department of Environment and Society (ENVS) at Utah State University and Shipley Group, Inc. have formed a partnership to provide a comprehensive training program on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for graduate-level academic credit. Courses are offered for 2 credits (generally 3-day courses) or for 1 credit (2-day courses). A set of 12-credits of this course work has been formalized into a graduate certificate program as explained in the accompanying program document.

 

Courses will be offered on the Utah State University campus and at other locations around the country.

 

Individuals interested in NEPA training have three options:

 
  • Course-by-course training (either for credit or non-credit).
  • A 12-credit graduate level certificate in NEPA.
  • Applying the NEPA courses toward a Master’s of Natural Resources in Ecosystems Management (for more information on this degree program please contact Judy Kurtzman).
 

NEPA courses, as well as the entire NEPA Certificate Program, will be delivered on an open–enrollment basis, but can also be delivered on a contract basis to a group of people within an agency, firm, non-profit organization, or other cohort group for reduced fees.

 

Individuals may attend the NEPA training by paying the course fee, but they must pay both the course fee and tuition fee to enroll in courses and earn graduate-level academic credit.

 

Cost and Payment Alternatives for the NEPA Certificate Program

 

Cost for the Entire Program

 

For individuals willing to pay the cost of the entire program in one lump sum we offer a special reduced price of $5,450 per individual. This price includes the cost of course fees, tuition, and all course materials. Payment would be due prior to attending the first course in the program.

 

 Pay as You Go

Participants who wish to break up the cost of the program and pay for the courses as they take them, may do so by paying for each week they take courses. The cost of the program would be made in four payments of $1,475. Payment would be due prior to the first day of class for the weeks they are enrolled. An 8.25% processing fee is included in this amount, increasing the total cost of the program to $5,896.
