Logan, Utah, is a dynamic community in beautiful Cache Valley.  The valley and its surroundings are the subject of the National Geographic Society book "Last Unspoiled Place: Exploring Utah's Logan Canyon." Located 90 miles north of Salt Lake City and 15 miles south of the Idaho border, Cache Valley is nestled between two mountain ranges.  Parts of each range are federally designated wilderness.

An extensive network of back country roads and trails provide unlimited mountain biking opportunities, and Logan Canyon abounds in routes for rock climbers. The Logan River, and other perennial streams are habitat for native Bonneville cutthroat trout and non-native brown trout fisheries. The Bear River Range has waterfalls, clear streams, picnic areas, hiking trails, and lush forests. Bear Lake is on the east side of the Bear River Range, a 40-mile drive along the Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway, and is a popular water sport playground.  Performing arts such as the Utah Festival Opera and performances at local summer theaters, like the Old Lyric Repertory Theatre, provide high-quality entertainment at a low cost.
