Faculty advisors help students explore natural resources career opportunities.  Your faculty advisor is a professor from your department who has a wealth of experience that helps him or her give you good advice about your academic program.  Take advantage of your advisor's insight as you plan your class schedules each semester and throughout your college career.  Your faculty advisor may also be able to help you connect with summer internships or undergraduate research opportunities.  Faculty advisors evaluate transfer credits for your major.  If you are a transfer student, be sure to meet with your advisor early on so that you know what classes your transfer credits substitute and you can graduate on schedule.  Faculty advisors are assigned according to your major.
